Municipal Experience
Attorney Michael E. Malamut’s practice focuses on counselling and litigation in the areas of land use, labor and employment, administrative, and general municipal law. As a Certified Professional Parliamentarian, he also advises municipalities, nonprofits, and business corporations on meeting procedures, parliamentary questions, and governance issues. He has written numerous articles, including several which analyze Town Meeting Time. Attorney Malamut has served as an elected Town Meeting member and serves as a member of local committees in his home community.
Prior to joining our firm, Attorney Malamut was Deputy General Counsel for the New England Legal Foundation, where he drafted amicus curiæ briefs regarding land use, labor and employment, and administrative law in all courts in New England and the United States Supreme Court. Prior to that he was Assistant General Counsel to the Boston Housing Authority.
