Experience

Attorney Roberta Goto has over 24 years of experience in representing private clients in real estate and land use law. She also has represented and counseled cities and towns on a variety of general municipal law issues, including, Uniform Procurement Act, conflict of interests and public records.

Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Goto represented private clients and lenders in commercial real estate transactions, and has extensive experience in representing commercial real estate developers in every phase of acquisitions, permitting, construction and permanent financing, leasing, sales, loan restructuring and settlements, and bankruptcy proceedings (creditor). She has represented commercial and residential real estate developers at local zoning board and planning board hearings.

During her time at the City of Boston Public Facilities Department, Ms. Goto also counseled and represented Department in all phases of acquisition, eminent domain takings, sales, financing and leasing arrangements relating to municipal properties, and in the development and financing of affordable housing and commercial economic development projects by the City of Boston, including, a $40,000,000 HUD Section 108 Loan transaction for the construction of the Seaport Hotel and Garage in South Boston, Massachusetts.
