Judgment for Police Chief in Civil Rights Claim

Attorney Jackie Cowin secured a Judgment in favor of a local Police Chief on claims that the Chief used his official position to interfere in an investigation of allegations that his sons had bullied another student at high school in a neighboring town.  The other student, who is now an adult, alleged that the Chief violated his civil rights by coercing school and police officials in the neighboring town into dropping their investigation of the allegations.  Following discovery and the service of a motion for summary judgment which established that the investigation was completed and the bullying allegations deemed unfounded without any influence by the Police Chief, the plaintiff agreed to an entry of Judgment in the Police Chief’s favor.
