2:00-3:30 – Workshop – Growing Pains: Municipal Best Practices for Marijuana Industry (Hynes, Room 208, 2nd floor). Join KP Law Attorney Katherine Laughman, a statewide leader in addressing legal issues under the new adult-use marijuana law, to learn more about the practical realities facing municipalities as they begin to regulate non-medical marijuana.

11:10-11:40 – MMA Learning Lab #2 (Hall C in the Exhibit Hall) – We are pleased to participate in a Leaning Lab – Municipal Charters – Adoption and Amendment – KP Law Managing Attorney Lauren Goldberg will outline the processes for adoption and amendment of municipal charters, summarizing those areas where a charter may supersede state laws relative to municipal governance.
2:50 – 3:30 p.m. – Workshop – Operating With Transparency: Open Meeting Law 101(Hynes, Room 208, 2nd floor). KP Law Lauren Goldberg, a foremost expert on administrative law matters, will provide an overview of best practices for addressing the legal and practical challenges of compliance with the Open Meeting Law.
