Presentation: Medical Marijuana: One Year In, What to Expect? (MIIA)(AICP) on March 15, 2014

Attorney Patricia Cantor will be presenting at the Citizen Planner Training Collaborative Annual Conference on March 15, 2014.

Since the Medical Marijuana Act, Chapter 369 of the Acts of 2012, went into effect on January 1, 2013, the Department of Public Health has issued comprehensive regulations and approved 20 Registered Marijuana Dispensaries.  Many municipalities have voted moratoria and substantive zoning bylaws and ordinances and otherwise acted to implement the state law.  This session will provide a review of developments in the last year.  We will discuss the DPH regulations, local responses, the Attorney General’s position on local regulation, and current zoning and other local issues regarding dispensaries.
